An Empirical Analysis of the Relationship between Speaking and Listening Ability of Learners in Chinese as a Second Language (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

The article questioned the opinion that speaking and listening are positively correlated. By a quantitative analysis on data of HSK (高等), we found an un-linear correlation between speaking and listening. Based on the result, we made a suggestion that both of listening and speaking skills should be emphasized in the teaching, testing and research.
