Abstract
In the fifth edition of the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, “Acronyms and Words Beginning with Greek or Latin Letters” has been revised. The paper mainly consists of three parts, respectively discussing: 1) overview of the development of lettered-words in Chinese; 2) general development of including lettered-words in Chinese dictionaries; 3) details about the revision of “appendix”.
