Abstract
The paper focuses on the main issues of current radical-rule. It is claimed that ancient radical-rules should be advanced with the times to burst forth vitality. It should be inherited at the strain and innovated reasonably. The current radical-rules have relations with character form and structure, and no relations with meaning and pronunciation. Therefore, the main content of the radical-rules system should be suitable with the basic distinguishing features and changes of the character form; otherwise it will lose the existence basis. The paper stresses the importance of author’s understanding of the radical-rules, and its implications for future study.
