Contrastive Study on the Style of the Synonymous Monosyllabic-verb and Disyllabic-verb with the Same Morpheme (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

As both the core and the tough part of Chinese vocabulary, synonymous monosyllabic-verb and disyllabic-verb with the same morpheme constitute an important part of synonymies. The similarities and differences in the style are very complicated. On this question researches have different views. Given a relatively closed-observation on 365 groups of this kind of synonymies selected in Contemporary Chinese Dictionary, this paper makes a descriptive research and explores the style of this kind of synonymy. It analyzes the reasons why researchers have different views on this question, and classifies the difference of their style. Moreover, this paper makes comprehensive interpretation on the difference of the styles between synonymous monosyllabic-verb and disyllabic-verb with the same morpheme.
