Abstract
This paper reports a quantitative and qualitative study on the vocabulary use in eight Chinese textbooks for business purposes, drawing on the statistical information out of corpus data and the Syllabus of Business Chinese Test. The primary aim of the study is to build a scalar parameter model of domain-specific vocabulary in Chinese textbooks for business purposes.
