Abstract
This paper points out that Simplified Form and Traditional Form of Chinese character use coexist in actual use. Therefore, when the Standardized Chinese Character List is to be compiled, it is imperative to consider the language reality and cautiously make language policies concerning the adjustment on Chinese characters.
