Abstract
Regarding the rating and reviewing issues for the Class One Level One test-takers in the Putonghua proficiency test, a comparison between the scores of the raters and those of the reviewers is made. Some cases which failed in the reviewing procedure are analyzed, and suggestions to the scoring by raters are provided. The characteristics of Class One Level One speech samples are discussed. Some advice for the Putonghua proficiency test practice for the Class One Level One is proposed.
