Abstract
The article is concerned with some key issues of the Chinese Characters Proficiency Testing Syllabus such as its significance, purpose, objective, nature, scope and content. Theoretically, an in-depth analysis is made on the issues in order to provide useful guidance for further development of the Chinese Characters Proficiency Testing system.
