Exploring Task-based Language Assessment (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

This paper proposes that the knowledge of language ability has developed in the last few decades, and language test in practice has to change according to this trend. The paper addresses several issues in Task-based Language Assessment, including testing models, tasks and items, language knowledge, task and language ability, etc. The paper concludes that typical test tasks can only be designed on the basis of needs analysis, and the validity can only be achieved by following the Principle of Consistency.
