International Promotion of Japanese Language and Its Implications (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

The extent of international use and recognition of a language reflects a country’s comprehensive national strength. Japan has been making unremitting efforts to promote the international use of Japanese language, and developed some ready mechanisms and made remarkable progress. This article probes into several aspects such as the target users, research institutions, teacher education, and channels as well as Japanese education organizational supports in order to implement the language promotion policy, and offers implications for Chinese promotion.
