Abstract
Errors in Chinese author name pinyin spelling in academic journals reflect the non-standard use of pinyin spelling in reality. From linguistics and Chinese national language standardization perspectives, the study of the errors, based on a corpus of one hundred important academic journals in China, discusses the causes of the errors committed, and enumerates the correct pinyin spellings. This study will conduce to standardize Chinese people name pinyin spelling.
