Abstract
Verb subcategorization in natural languages involves both semantic and syntactic attributes, which is also one of the most important fields for computational linguistics. Reasonable formalization of verb subcategorization will conduce to the logical and computational processing of linguistic information, thereby facilitating the acquisition and application of verbal lexicon. From a cognitive and generative viewpoint, this paper discusses the semantic and syntactic attributes for the formalization of verb subcategorization, and proposes a solution of attribute subset mapping.
