The Difficult Situation of Compulsory Education in Hong Kong

Abstract

Compulsory education has been put in practice in the Western world for many years. Behavior disorder and dropping out from school are the two major problems encountered by western countries. In enforcing compulsory education, Hong Kong is facing difficulties similar to those in the western world. Based on the experience in counseling problematic students in a secondary school, the author discusses a possible solution to the problems.
