The Mission of CUSP

• Support the mission of the Faculty of Education(Faculty), CUHK, particularly in providing continuous professional development activities, in the form of partnership, to the school community; and
• Foster a quality culture in the school community, thereby assisting in promoting quality education in Hong Kong.

The Objectives of CUSP

• To address the needs of Hong Kong schools in the contemporary reform and evolutionary context;
• To empower school principals and teachers to identify their challenges, analyze problems and devise solutions for improvement;
• To organize consultancy teams to work with partner schools, especially in facilitating the development of school-based curricula for quality teaching and learning;
• To channel to the schools relevant research and pedagogical reorientation generated by Faculty members;
• To generate experiences in "knowledge transfer" and to establish different university-school partnership models in the context of Hong Kong;
• To disseminate good practices so as to build a shared professional learning community between schools and the University; and
• To consolidate, publicize and disseminate through research and publications the professional experiences gained from its projects.
