Roger CHENG was Research Student in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, Teaching Assistant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Visiting Scholar to the University of Cambridge, Visiting Professor to the University of Toronto (at the CTD, OISE). Currently Programme Coordinator for the Research Programme on Values in Education in Contemporary Societies and for the Certificate Programme in Values Education at the HKIER, and Guest Professor of the Nanjing Normal University (at the Research Institute for Moral Education) and of the Capital Normal University (at the Faculty of Educational Sciences).
Research interests include: Philosophy of Education, Philosophical Anthropology (of Education), Cultural Studies in Education; research and development interests include: "Studies on Perspectives on Educated Persons: Quality, Qualitative Evaluation and Qualitative Terminology as the Foci" and Qualitative Research, Narrative Methodology underlying "Narrative Inquiry into Educational Lives and Narrative Pedagogy? ", "Understanding in Education and Human Sciences" and Thinking Education, "Higher Education (including General Education, Teacher Education) and Parent Education" and Talent Education, and "Self Education and the Meaning of Life" and Values Education.
