Abstract
Postmodernism appears in educational research in China in the forms of research context, research text and research method which is not only related with the awkward situation of educational theory but also linked with some postmodernism phenomena. In the view of postmodernism, the research standard, the research object and research method etc. are displaced in the new frame of reference. Due to the poor soil for postmodernism theory in China, educational theory circles should have prudential attitudes toward postmodernism with dialectical materialism approach in educational research.
