Abstract
Development is the fundamental mission of Socialism. As the core of Chinese Communist Party’s second generation central leadership group, Deng Xiaoping valued socialist development issues very much. His development outlook is the combination of Marxist historical materialism and the practice of Chinese reform and opening-up, which has greatly pushed forward our economic social development. He planned higher educational development from the overall height, pouring motive forces into higher educational development through reform and opening up, adhering to people-oriented principle so as to promote the overall development of the university students, continuously innovating the higher educational development way of thinking starting from the reality, which has played an important guiding role in the higher educational development since Chinese reform and opening-up.
