Prof. Yin Hongbiao, Department of Curriculum and Instruction
By nature, teaching is an emotional work. It is the communication among people. For sure teachers need to “instill” or “impart” some knowledge to others, which requires teachers to respect the scientific basis of teaching. However, teaching is a typical work to, with, and for people. The interpersonal foundation of teaching makes it different from other professions in that teaching encourages the emotional investment of the teacher. Good teachers are those who are willing to devote themselves to the work, show who they are in front of others, and protect the values that they cherish for the common good.
Prof. Zou Xiaoping Tracy, Department of Educational Administration and Policy
As a teacher educator, I aim to facilitate students’ exploration of their life meaning, enabling them to realise their full potential in their professional and personal growth. To achieve this, I try to create opportunities for students to establish meaningful connections between the knowledge and skills they acquire and their own aspirations, experiences, and contexts. When I see that students discover what kind of teachers they aspire to become, I feel incredibly rewarded. Ultimately, I hope my students will have a lasting positive impact on their future students by being role models and sources of inspiration.
Dr. Wong Pak Ho Bernard, Department of Educational Psychology
As a trainer in professional educational psychology, my objective is twofold: to impart knowledge and skills in the clinical practice of educational psychology, and to foster an empathetic approach and a profound sense of purpose among our future leaders. I assist students in charting their journeys towards reflective practice by nurturing mindful introspection, genuine presence, and unconditional acceptance. By placing equal emphasis on personal and professional growth, our graduates will be better equipped to develop empathetic connections with their clients and will be highly motivated to effect positive transformations within the individuals and systems they serve.
Dr. Cheung Sin Ting Juanita, Department of Sports Science and Physical Education

With our concerted efforts, passion and perseverance, education could lead us to a brighter future.
Dr. Ng Siu Kuen, Physical Education Unit
The effectiveness of teaching Physical Education is closely tied to a teacher's enthusiasm. I enjoy teaching, prioritising communication with students, and striving to spark their interest while fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Physical Education instils lifelong sportsmanship by promoting competition, leadership, and a healthy sports culture, giving students motivation that can be utilised in all aspects of their lives.
