Student IT Competence
Regarding the CUHK IT Proficiency Test, the Faculty of Education has arranged
to have the IT Laboratory at HTB-M1 as the self-learning centre for our faculty
students. A dedicated time-slot has been reserved (Every Tuesday 8:45 am ~ 1:00 pm) for
students who want to access the online courseware. For details of the test,

Suspension of Classes
- If the local storm warning signal No.8 or above or
black rainstorm signal is hoisted at the following hours, classes will be
suspended as below:-

- If the local storm warning signal No.8 or above or the black rainstorm
signal is hoisted during a class period, all classes will be suspended
immediately. When the black rainstorm signal is still in force, students are
advised to take shelter in a safe place until the weather and traffic
conditions have improved.
- Public announcements on suspension of classes made by the Education Bureau are not applicable to the University.

- Public announcements on suspension of classes or postponement of public examinations made by the Education Bureau and the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority are not applicable to the University
- All centralized course examinations will be postponed to the third working day after the last day of the examination period. (For example, the affected examination will be postponed to the 13th May - Monday if the examination period originally ends on 9th May - Thursday). Details of postponement will be announced at the following locations.

For examinations which are conducted by individual teachers, the teachers
concerned may post details of postponement on department notice boards.
Transport Arrangements
- Meet class buses will stop operating during suspension of classes.
- For full-time undergraduate students, normal shuttle bus service between the Railway Station and New
Asia College / Shaw College will be in continuous operation within an hour of the hoisting
of local storm warning signal No.8 or above.
- Normal shuttle bus service will be maintained all
the times when black rainstorm signal is hoisted unless situation cannot
permit.
