How to access internal email
outside CUHK campus ?

| | The University internal
email system, which is built on MS Exchange platform, provides an
alternative mailing system with University-wise address booking
function that is not available at the Internet
Email system. Currently, the MS Outlook installed in your office PC should
reading emails from both your internal and Internet
email account.
However, you can not read the internal email
system as the same way as the Internet email
account by using Eudora, Outlook express or Messanger. To read the internal
emails, the faculty provides a web-based interface for you to access your
emails by using web browser.

| 1. | Go
to the internal email Web page at http://serverb.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/exchange.

| 2. | Type in your ALIAS NAME
into "LOG ON" box.
Usually, the ALIAS NAME is similar to your network login ID. For example,
if you network login ID is "TEST_UED", then the ALIAS is something
like "TEST". If you are not sure about the ALIAS NAME, please
kindly contact Mr. Kong at ext. 6901 for any enquiry.

| 3. | Login the web page by
using the Username and Password that you use in your office PC.
[ Hint: ] Username is something like "TEST_EDU".

| 4. | If you login
successfully, you will see a page looks like this:

| 5. | You can READ/SEND your
internal email inside this interface.

| 6. | Don't forget to logout
after use. Especially you are using public PC to access.
