Dr. Cheung is a program supervisor of the Programs for the Gifted and Talented, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an associate editor of the Journal of Psychology in Chinese Societies. He is a member of the Advisory Panel on Support Measures for the Exceptionally Gifted Students, Hong Kong Education Department and a member of the Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Teacher Training Package for School-based Gifted Program, Curriculum Development Council. He is on the Advisory Board of the Center for Child Development of Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Cheung also serves as a specialist referee for applications for research grants for a number of granting agencies including Quality Education Fund, Research Grants Council of the University Grants Committee and Hong Kong Baptist University. |

Dr. Cheung's research interests include creativity, self-concept, achievement motivation, psychosocial and personality development. In collaboration with local and overseas researchers, he has developed the Multi-Trait Personality Inventory (MTPI), the Motivational Orientation Scale (MOS), and the Multi-Perspective Multi-Domain Self-Concept Inventory (MMSI). He was a co-principal investigator of the norming study of the Wallach-Kogan Creativity Tests in Hong Kong. Currently he is a co-leader of a large-scale creativity project entitled "An Electronic Version of the Wallach-Kogan Creativity Tests". |
