Formerly teacher in secondary schools, Counsellor /Educational Psychologist at Alberta Vocational College, and Lecturer and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. Teaching areas include teaching students with learning difficulties, introduction to special education, teaching students with special needs, and psychology of learning.

Areas of research interests include cognitive processes in reading, metacognitive processes in thinking and learning, learning disabilities, and giftedness.
