How to use CD-RW in IT Lab 1?
User can bring along CD-R or CD-RW with them to backup their data or create VCD in IT Lab 1 with the software Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.
Preparations:
Launch Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 from Program Files and click "Project Selector". Here will introduce the procedures of creating Data CD and Video CD.
Procedures for creating Data CD:
1. Select "data CD project" from "make a data CD"
2. Select the data file from the appropriate position and drag to the data CD project as shown below:
3. Press "Record" button and it would shown the following screen. User can change the "Write Speed" and select more options by clicking "Options", user can choose to finalize the CD or not. After that press "Start Recording" to create the CD.
Procedures for creating Video CD:
1. Select "video CD " from "make a photo or video CD"
2. The "Video CD Creator Wizard" will be pop out and clicks "Next" to continue until the following screen shown out, click "Add File..." to insert the MPEG file:
3. After locating the MPEG file, it may shown an information screen as shown below to state that the VCD may not be suitable for play in a VCD player. Press "Add Anyway" to add the file is ok.
Note: If the file is not convert to VCD default setting during capture, it may display the following warning screen which means it would get a bigger chance that VCD player cannot play the VCD.
4. After finished all steps, select "Create the CD now" and click "Finish".
3. It would shown the following screen just same as creating a data CD. User can change the "Write Speed" and select more options by clicking "Options", user can choose to finalize the CD or not. After that press "Start Recording" to create the CD.
