School Effectiveness and Improvement in Hong Kong: Review and Prospect (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

Since the end of the 1990s, educational reform and school reform have been important agenda in Hong Kong. This article first analyzes and consolidates related literature and selected project results on school effectiveness and school improvement in recent years. Then it discusses the future directions of development from three perspectives respectively, namely enhancing internal school capacity for improvement, fostering partnerships between university and schools, and establishing a reform platform provided by the government.
