The Faculty Inauguration Ceremony for Undergraduates was successfully held on 1 September 2025. Professor Fan Xitao, Dean of Faculty of Education, extended his warm welcome to the new cohort of undergraduates in his remarks and encouraged the new students to develop a positive learning attitude and to grow professionally and personally. Professor Fan also shared his insights about the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning, and reminded the new students not to let AI think for them but to be the person who could drive AI for learning.
This was followed by a presentation from two student representatives, Annie Hung (CLED Year 4) and Kenneth Tsui (ESHE Year 2), who shared the tips on how to make the most of university life with the first-year students.
The ceremony was concluded with individual programme tea reception, where the new students met and interacted with the programme co-ordinators and teachers.
