To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Centre for University and School Partnership (CUSP) of the Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the CUSP will organize a series of diversified activities to promote the growth of professional learning community of local educators.
In the first quarter (January – March), The “Evidence-based Reform for School Improvement” Seminar cum CUSP 20th Anniversary Professional Activities Series Opening Ceremony concluded successfully on 10 March. Over 400 members from the education community attended the kick-off ceremony.
Mr. Kevin Yeung, Secretary for Education of HKSAR government, officiated at the ceremony and made an opening speech. In addition, Prof. Robert E. Slavin from the Johns Hopkins University, Prof. Hau Kit-tai, Choh-Ming Li Professor of Educational Psychology at CUHK delivered keynote speeches; and Dr. Tsui Chun-cheung, Principal of the Tai Po Old Market Public School (Plover Cove), and Ms. Gloria Leung, Service Head, Caritas Pre-School Education and Child Care Centre spoke about their school experiences.

The subscription is open to educators and the public.
Moreover, the CUSP has organized a school visit for primary school teachers earlier at Tin Shui Wai Methodist Primary School. Under the scheme of “Support Programme on Fostering Communities of Practice to Enhance Small Class Teaching”, participants were arranged to explore the development of small class teaching and self-directed learning through observations of lessons.
In the second quarter (April – June), the CUSP will organize four territory-wide sharing events for educators in kindergarten and primary school sectors. Our partners from kindergarten and primary school sectors will share their frontline experience. For registration, please visit the CUSP Website.
