Introduction

Dr. Charis Wing Shan Cheung holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Philosophy degree in Psychology from the University of Hong Kong. She advanced her studies by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, a Master of Arts degree in Values Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Cheung has gained valuable professional experience as both a teacher and a graduate mistress at a local secondary school. With a strong dedication to fostering students' holistic development and promoting values-based education, she has actively engaged in various local school partnership programs that focused on life education, spiritual education, experiential learning and compassion education across both primary and secondary sectors. Through her active involvement in these programs, Dr. Cheung has conducted research, facilitated training sessions, and contributed to the development of curriculum and teaching resources.

While Dr. Cheung has explored a wide range of research interests, her primary focus remains on personal growth and learning. She places particular emphasis on understanding how individuals navigate their place in the world and develop a sense of purpose and direction. This aspect of her research reflects her deep concern for helping individuals find meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
