Introduction

Dr. Bernard Wong is a Professional Consultant in the Department of Educational Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds the position of Programme Co-Director for the Master of Arts Degree in Professional Educational Psychology. Dr. Wong obtained his Bachelor of Social Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Hong Kong, specializing in Educational Psychology.

Previously, Dr. Wong served as the Director of General Education at Hong Kong Shue Yan University. He is a registered Educational Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the Hong Kong Psychological Society. Dr. Wong has held significant leadership roles within the Hong Kong Psychological Society, including serving as the President of the Society Council and the Chairperson of its Division of Educational Psychology.

Apart from his academic and professional roles, Dr. Wong has a strong commitment to scouting. He has served as a scout leader for over 20 years and is particularly interested in promoting leadership and personal development initiatives for adolescents and young adults. Dr. Wong has also extended his service to the World Scout Bureau, currently serving as the Asia-Pacific Regional Diversity and Inclusion Expert.

Currently, Dr. Wong's research interests revolve around the integration of mindfulness-based interventions in school-based and community-based programmes. He is actively exploring how these interventions can be effectively incorporated to benefit the well-being and development of individuals in these settings.
