Introduction

Jennifer is a clinical psychologist and an assistant professor at the Department of Educational Psychology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She obtained her bachelor degree in psychology, master degree in clinical psychology, and PhD in psychiatry in the University of Hong Kong. She also received a master degree in epidemiology in University of Cambridge. Jennifer has two major research themes: mental health promotion interventions and supporting families affected by severe mental illness. She has a focused interest in universal and selective mental health interventions and is leading a mental health promotion program in secondary schools. She is also developing a reflective parenting intervention for families affected by mental illness. Apart from her dedicated effort to clinical research, she also applies big data analytics to investigate the aging process of persons affected by severe mental illness and outcome of their offspring. Previously, Jennifer has been heavily involved in various gerontology projects that facilitated the building of Hong Kong into a/an age-friendly community.
