簡介

劉善宜博士一直熱衷於幼兒教育和發展以關愛為核心的教學理念，自成為卑詩省（BC）註冊的幼兒教師以來，她對品格素養與其教育法的熱情始終如一。獲取多倫多大學榮譽心理學學士後，她在不同領域的兒童發展研究中累積了不少經驗，如兒童道德和欺騙的心智理解、抗逆力與成長的跨文化研究，以及父母參與孩子幼小銜接計劃成效報告。

在英屬哥倫比亞大學進修人類發展、學習和文化碩士以及跨學科教育哲學博士期間，劉博士深入研究兒童社交情緒學習（SEL），探索家長如何營造實景學習，從有意義的體驗中來促進孩子語文素養及彼此之間的交流。

過往曾在不同慈善基金會工作的她，與國際及本地大學協作發展結合理論和實踐的正念和幸福科學的課程。這包括與美國加州大學柏克萊分校的Greater Good Science Center的合作。除了學術追求，劉博士亦為香港的小學和中學提供諮詢，協助學校展開全面及有系統的SEL。走在終身學習的旅程，劉博士獲得了2023年史丹福大學醫學Centre for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education認證的應用同理教育者資格。值得一提的是，劉博士被稱為“顧問媽媽”在10集系列《媽Me一分鐘》中，探討各類育兒問題，視頻在電視廣播的在線平台上提供。
