A School of Powerful Learning !

Participating in the Accelerated School Project since September 1998 has developed a quality culture in the school. It has brought most significant benefits to staff development and improved student learning.

The training workshops organised by the ASP team for our Staff Development programme and the regular consultation sessions have built a very strong team spirit amongst the staff. Colleagues have become critical friends of each other and stimulate each other in thieir professional development with the main focus on teaching skills and strategy.

I must highly commend the team of development officers assigned to work with our school. Their open, friendly, supportive, non-judgemental attitudes and their dedication to their work are the key to the success of the programme and I look forward with enthusiasm to further collaboration with them in bringing the much needed educational reform to Hong Kong.

Our many effective educational practices have been endorsed by the team of experts from the Chinese University and this has helped us to rise to greater heights by Building On Strengths, a principle of ASP. Our teaching is effective on the practical side but we lack academic support and endorsement. This innovative and dynamic university-school partnership has indeed brought a comprehensive school change towards quality education.

Now that we have built up a quality school culture and good practices, we would be able to disseminate them to other schools by organising clusters of key school and associate schools.
