Elementary Teachers' Attitude Toward a Constructivist Approach of Teaching

HUE Chih-Wei

Abstract
The pros and cons of endorsing a constructivist approach in teaching were collected from 135 elementary teachers in a questionaire survey. Although the results of the present research indicate that most of the respondents have a favourable attitude toward the teaching method, the results also show that the respondents do not understand constructionism and how a constructivist approach of teaching actually works.
Keywords: constructionism, constructivist approach of teaching, elementary teachers attitude.
