The Feasibility of Extending the Twelve-year Free Education in R. 0. C.: An Economic Development View

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of extending the twelve-year free education in 1993, in accordance with matching between educational and economic development of both international comparison and intranational time series development. To attain the above purpose, multiple regression, cluster analysis, discriminate analysis, and Box-Jenkins's Transfer Function of Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model were used to analyze the relationship between educational and economic development.

The result revealed that it is available to extend the twelve-year free education in 1993. Finally, the authors made some suggestions.
