The purpose of this study was to investigate advantages and disadvantages of four two-dimensional classified system of sociometric status had proposed by Peery (1979), Coie, Coppotelli and Dodge (1982), Newcomb and Bukowski (1983) and Coie and Dodge (1988). 154 third- and fifth-grade children served as subjects at three time-intervals during four months. It explored the discriminate validity and temporal stability of four classified models. The results indicated that none of these was a perfect classified scheme, so we proposed some modifications. The models of Newcomb and Bukowski (1983) and Coie and Dodge (1988) were the better choices.
