Abstract
The Kodaly Method has been widely used for the past twenty years in music education and therapy for handicapped children. This paper presents various Kodaly activities which have been adapted for use with handicapped children. The 'Action Song' is used as an example to illustrate how such activities as singing, rhythmic dances, listening, response training, composing, and instrumental playing, etc. can be exploited to develop handicapped children's potential, language ability, body co-ordination, communicative skills, social skills as well as their personality.
