IT Laboratory 2

The IT Laboratory 2 is previous known as Multimedia Learning Laboratory (MLLL). This room functions as a language classroom and will be closed after class. Beside class, seminars or examinations will be scheduled in this room occasionally. ETU is responsible for the facilities management of this room. Facilities

 

  • Multimedia teaching system connected to all students PC
  • 24 identical student booths available and each booth installed with 1 networked PC (Pentium IV, 512M RAM, DVD/CD-RW combo drive) with up-to-date software installed, optical mouse, 1 audio tape recorder and 1 dedicated headset with microphone
  • 1 networked PC dedicated for teacher (Pentium IV, 512M RAM, DVD/CD-RW combo drive) which installed w/ up-to-date software and a central control audio tape recorder
  • The popular DigitalClass touch screen system has been installed at the teacher PC
  • 1 networked B/W laser printers
  • Rich AV equipment including visualizer, LD/DVD/VCD player, VHS player, wireless microphone, audio cassette tape player and 1 projection screen

A list of language learning software (CD-ROM) is available for loan. Please contact our staff at IT Lab 1.

  • Networking Tools: Internet Explorer 6.0 w/ Trad. and Simp. Chinese Font, Netscape 7.0, WS_FTP, Telnet, Outlook Express, WinZip, Adobe Acrobat, Authorware Player, Flash Player and Shockwave Player
  • Audio Editing / Converting Software: Audacity and dbpowerAmp
  • Language System: Sony LLC-8000
