The Centre for University & School Partnership (CUSP) of Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (FED, CUHK) held its 20th Anniversary Dinner at ClubONE Kornhill in Vogue on 27 April, where it celebrated its achievements of supporting schools over the past 20 years with its staff and education workers. The dinner concluded successfully.
CUSP invited over a hundred of stakeholders of education sector to the 20th Anniversary Dinner, including Hon Ip Kin Yuen, Education-sector legislator, Prof. Stephen Chung Yue Ping, Emeritus Professor of Department of Educational Administration and Policy and founding director of CUSP, Prof. Wong Hin Wah, Adjunct Professor of Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr Fung Yee Wang, the first Administrative Coordinator of CUSP and education workers of secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens from different districts.
In the speeches of reviewing the development of CUSP over last two decades, both Prof. Alvin Leung Seung Ming, Dean of Education and Prof. Alan Cheung Chi Keung, Director of CUSP expressed their thanks to all the efforts paid by colleagues of CUSP and FED and supports from education workers.
Riding on these elements, CUSP successfully fulfilled its mission in supporting various educational programmes of local secondary schools, primary schools and kindergartens, establishment of extensive partnership network and promoting the development of Hong Kong’s quality education. They added, CUSP will strive for greater success and continue its contributions to the education sector in the future.
During the dinner, Prof. Chung and Prof. Wong shared the origin of establishment of CUSP and anecdotes in the early stages. In the performance session, Tai Koo Primary School sent their handchime team to play “Over The Rainbow”. Student dancers from Hong Kong Red Swastika Society Tuen Mun Primary School also gave Latin performance to our guests.

Centre for University & School Partnership (CUSP) was established in 1998 to foster a mutually beneficial relationship between The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the school sector and to promote all-round and quality education in Hong Kong.
In the past years, CUSP established partnership with over 1,500 primary and secondary schools, early childhood organizations and special education schools under the auspices of the Quality Education Fund (QEF), the Education Bureau, Sustainable Development Fund and different educational organizations. CUSP commits itself to support schools in implementing comprehensive development projects by means of healthy collaborative relationships and a self-refining mechanism, towards quality education.
Since its inception, CUSP has launched different school development projects under the collaboration of school development officers, colleagues from Faculty of Education and Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research.
