Completed National Program Manager Interview Record as TALIS+ International Quality Observer (7 Feb)

On 7 February 2026, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, acting as a TALIS+ International Quality Observer, conducted the formal National Program Manager Interview Record with Prof. TANG Jiangpeng, Manager for TALIS+ China/Shenzhen.

“Leadership for Future Schools” Training Programme Modules of Shaw Future Education Programme (19-21 Jan)

In January 2026, the three-day “Leadership for Future Schools” Training Programme Modules under the Shaw Future Education Programme, coordinated by the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement and the Office of Academic Links, and funded by the Hong Kong Shaw Foundation, were successfully held.

On 7 December 2025, Prof. DAI Yun, Associate Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, attended The 17th Shenzhen Academic Annual Conference: The Learning Sciences Revolution in the Age of Artificial Intelligence at Southern University of Science and Technology.

“Educational Innovation and Transformation in the AI Era” CUHK China Education Conference (5-6 Dec)

In December 2025, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, the Director of the Centre of Education Research and School Improvement and Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research, coordinated the first “CUHK China Education Conference” coinciding with the 60th Anniversary of the Faculty of Education, with the theme “Educational Innovation and Transformation in the AI Era.”

《人人都是課程領導者－幼兒教師專業發展之路》The 8th《三人行》Academic Festival of Shenzhen Experimental Kindergarten (21 Nov)

On 21 November 2025, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, served as a professional advisor at the 8th 《三人行》Academic Festival of Shenzhen Experimental Kindergarten. The event was themed《人人都是課程領導者－幼兒教師專業發展之路》.

“Academic Research Capacity Enhancement Program” The Practical Research Training Workshop for Early Childhood Educators (14-17 July)

In July 2025, the four-day “Academic Research Capacity Enhancement Program”, the Practical Research Training Workshop for Early Childhood Educators, was organized successfully by the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement. The workshop successfully built a bridge between theory and practice, effectively enhancing kindergarten teachers’ research literacy and practical skills.

"課堂教學創新與管理實踐改革"AI Empowering Basic Education Academic Seminar of Innovative Development (10-11 Apr)

In April 2025, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, served as Co-Chair at the AI Empowering Basic Education Academic Seminar of Innovative Development under the theme “課堂教學創新與管理實踐改革.”

"Future Education Leaders” Shenzhen-Hong Kong 1+1 VELA Principal Training Program (Phase 1) (26 - 28 Mar)

In March 2025, the "Future Education Leaders" Shenzhen-Hong Kong 1+1 VELA Principal Training Program(Phase 1), hosted by the High School Branch of the China Association for Non-Government Education and co-organized by the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, was completed successfully.

“面向所有兒童的高質量學前教育”Greater Bay Area Forum on Early Childhood Education and Child Development (12 - 14 Mar)

In March 2025, the Greater Bay Area Forum on Early Childhood Education and Child Development, themed “面向所有兒童的高質量學前教育,” was successfully held at The Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK) Shenzhen Research Institute, hosted by the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement. The forum was co-organized by the Faculty of Education as a key event celebrating the 60th anniversary.

“Harmonious resonance of science and technology and education in the context of AI” The 2024 Principals' Forum (12 - 13 Dec)

In December 2024, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement(CERSI), attended The 2024 Principals' Forum “Harmonious resonance of science and technology and education in the context of AI,” co-organized by the CERSI and the Department of Educational Administration and Policy.

"Reforms and High-quality Development in Early Childhood Education" The Third International Academic Symposium on Preschool (6 Dec)

On 6 December 2024, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, was invited to attend the Third International Academic Symposium on Preschool "Reforms and High-quality Development in Early Childhood Education", hosted by Guangdong University of Education. He delivered a keynote speech entitled "讓兒童在遊戲中全人發展——香港幼稚園教師實施遊戲為本學習的概念架構與實證探索".

"ChatGPT對基礎教育之「基礎」的顛覆與革新" Leading the Future Education Shanghai-Hong Kong Forum (4 Dec)

On 4 December 2024, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, participated in the Leading the Future Education Shanghai-Hong Kong Forum, titled "ChatGPT對基礎教育之「基礎」的顛覆與革新."

“弘揚教育家精神引領教師教育發展” Academic Conference (25 Sep)

On 25 September 2024, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, was invited to attend the academic seminar "弘揚教育家精神引領教師教育發展" and delivered an academic report titled "Are Happy Teachers also Efficacious and Committed? A Social Cognitive Analysis."

“Leadership for Future Schools” Advanced Training Program (22-27 Jul)

In July 2024, "Leadership for Future Schools" Advanced Training Program for 40 principals and teachers from Guangdong was jointly organized by Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK)—Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Research Institute, and CUHK Office for Greater Bay Area Developments.

“Parent Nature Academy – Chain Life-Long” Charity Summit (23 Apr)

On 23 April 2024, Prof. YIN Hongbiao, Director of Centre for Education Research and School Improvement, delivered a keynote lecture titled "What is Curriculum?" at the "Parent Nature Academy – Chain Life-Long" charity summit hosted by the Shenzhen Nanshan Education Kindergarten Group.

In December 2023, the Centre for Education Research and School Improvement and The Chinese University of Hong Kong(ShenZhen) co-hosted the "Future Education Leaders. Shenzhen & Hong Kong 1+1" Training programme for 45 Wuxi educators.
