The Department of Curriculum and Instruction of CUHK aims to become an internationally leading centre in curriculum and instruction. We seek to produce cutting-edge research that fosters good practice and quality education, and to prepare and empower the next generation of teachers to meet the challenges in an increasingly globalized world.

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction strives to:

  • develop professional competencies of pre-service and in-service teachers, and empower them to become agents of change;
  • explore innovative pedagogies in teaching and research, and adopt an evidence-based approach to improving educational practice;
  • engage in and promote transformational practice so as to cope with the challenges in an increasingly globalized world.
