Study Scheme

1) Students are required to complete a total of 24 units for graduation.

	TESL6501 TESOL Curriculum and Methodology TESL6502 Second Language Acquisition TESL6503 Second Language Assessment TESL6504 Research Methods in TESOL
(ii)	Elective Courses (2)	6 units
	ENLT6701 Phonetics and Phonology for English Language Teaching ENLT6702 Morphology and Syntax for English Language Teaching ENLT6703 Spoken and Written Discourse for English Language Teaching ENLT6705 Literature in English ENLT6802 Contemporary English Language Teaching Issues ENLT6805 Information and Communication Technology in English Language Teaching
(iii)	Project	6 units
	TESL6600 Independent Research Project

2) Other Requirements

	Students must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 in order to fulfill the graduation requirement.
	Students must fulfil the term assessment requirement of the Graduate School. A student who obtains a cumulative GPA below 2.0 in the preceding term will be put on academic probation. Class Schedule

There are two terms per academic year. Term 1 is from September to December, and Term 2 from January to April. Classes are usually offered on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
