We are deeply honoured and grateful that BMED Academy has been awarded the CUHK Outstanding Students Awards 2025 under the category of Social Service – Serving the Society. This recognition means a lot to us, not only as a milestone for the Academy but also as an affirmation of our shared belief that mathematics education can extend beyond the classroom and meaningfully serve the wider community.
As admins, we each take up different roles within the teams. Some of us craft concise, clear explanations for exam-focused, engaging IG posts, while others design visuals to boost clarity and engagement. To engage viewers more and identify common misconceptions, some create IG stories with multiple-choice questions. Through these experiences, we have come to appreciate not only the importance of clear communication in mathematics teaching but also the creativity and adaptability required to present ideas effectively in a digital space.
This achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support and guidance from the BMED programme. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the department, especially Prof. NG Oi-lam and Dr. CHAN Yip-cheung, for their encouragement and trust in our work. We are also truly thankful to Prof. CHEUNG Chi-keung, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, for attending the award ceremony and extending his warm congratulations to our team. Their recognition has been both affirming and inspiring.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all previous admins and members of the BMED Academy. This award recognises sustained teamwork and shared commitment over the years. Each contribution has helped shape the platform into what it is today.
It has been heartening to see our work reach students and teachers. Knowing that it has supported students’ learning has been rewarding. We hope BMED Academy continues to grow and evolve, with current and future admins and members maintaining collaboration and dedication to deliver high-quality content. We are proud of our part in this journey and look forward to its legacy. Thank you.
