About The Program
Funded by the Gifted Education Fund, and co-organised by CUHK Faculty of Education and MIT Innovation Node, the off-school advanced learning program is designed to train students’ socio-emotional skills, STEAM entrepreneurship skills, and positive attitudes and values toward STEAM entrepreneurship. For the culminating activity, students will work in groups to develop a business plan and use rapid prototyping techniques to develop a STEAM-based prototype that will be presented to a panel of judges.
Program Objectives
- To improve gifted students’ socio-emotional skills;
- To develop STEAM knowledge and skills;
- To cultivate positive attitudes and values about STEAM entrepreneurship;
- To showcase prototypes of STEAM entrepreneurship venture (business plan and presentation)

English supplemented with Cantonese
Program Timeline
The program will be divided into three phases:
Phase 1:
The sessions aim to train students in developing socio-emotional skills in the context of STEAM entrepreneurship
Phase 2:
The sessions aim to train students in STEAM entrepreneurship including a field trip
Phase 3:
An intensive bootcamp where students will finalize their project prototypes and pitch the final presentation before a panel of judges

Application
Eligibility:
Secondary 1-3 students in the 2023/24 school year
Applicants should demonstrate eagerness to learn about Entrepreneurship and possess a good team player attitude
