Application Method

Step 1: Online Application (for Visa or Master cardholders only)

Application Period for PGDE Programmes (2024-25): 20 November 2023 (12:00 noon) to 18 December 2023 (12:00 noon)

 

Note: Applicants are not allowed to change major subject, study mode or study stream once the application has been submitted.

Step 2: Submission of Supporting Documents

Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of the following supporting documents to the application homepage (https://serverg.fed.cuhk.edu.hk/Onlineapp/Upload/default.html) or submit copies of supporting documents (stating clearly the application number) in person to the Programme Office within 10 days after completing the online application. Please submit the supporting documents on time; otherwise, we cannot proceed with your application. Submission via email / fax / post is not accepted.

Please submit the documents in the following order:

  1. Acknowledgement of Application

  2. Copy of Hong Kong Identity Card

  3. Copies of Public Exam Certificates (e.g., HKCEE / HKDSE / HKALE)

  4. Copies of Certificates for Bachelor's Degree and Higher Degree(s) (Except fresh graduates)

  5. Copies of Academic Transcript(s) for Bachelor's Degree and Higher Degree(s)*

  6. Copies of Proof on English Proficiency Requirement (Please visit Admission Requirements of PGDE Programmes information for details.)

  7. Copies of Current & Previous Employment Proof (e.g. contract stating the period of employment)
    (For applicants applying for two-year Part-time programmes only)

  8. Please explain why you would like to become a teacher [For applicants of two-year part-time (non-teaching) programme only]

  9. Other related documents (e.g. Principal's Recommendation Letter, Teaching Practicum Consent Letter), if applicable

 

*Original official transcript(s) should be sent directly to the Programme Office in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution/university once you accept the offer. Graduates and students from CUHK are required to submit copies of transcripts only.

 

All items submitted will not be returned.
 

Acknowledgement of Application

Applicants who have successfully submitted online application will receive an “Acknowledgement of Application”, which contains an application number within 30 minutes. Please upload the “Acknowledgement of Application” together with other copies of supporting documents.

Notes to Applicants

The application information supplied will be used for Postgraduate Diploma in Education admission-related matters and verifying of academic credentials with local/overseas institutes by the Faculty. All information should be supplied on a voluntary basis. Applications with incomplete information or supporting documents may not be further processed. The application information will be turned to student record after successful applicants have registered with the Faculty. The student record will be used for academic or administrative reference in accordance with the Faculty’s regulations. Information on all unsuccessful applicants and applicants who have declined the offer will be destroyed after the admission exercise. Applicants may contact the Faculty Office of Education for enquiring about or amending the personal particulars of their applications.
