Prof. Zou is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Policy in the Faculty of Education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She aspires to elevate educational experiences in higher education through strengthening the connection between educational policy and implementation and facilitating collaborations among key stakeholders. Her current research interests include assessment designs, teaching-research nexus, academic development, and internationalization of higher education. Prof. Zou’s research has been funded by various organizations, including Research Grants Council and University Grants Committee of HKSAR and Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia. She has published extensively in reputable journals in the field of higher education, such as Studies in Higher Education, Higher Education, and Higher Education Research & Development. The courses Prof. Zou teaches include Values and Moral Education, and Structure and Process of Schooling, and her teaching has been recognized by the Faculty Exemplary Teaching Award. She is also a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. Regarding editorial work, Prof. Zou serves as an associate editor of International Journal for Academic Development and an editorial member of Asian Journal of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
