刘博士曾任中学教师及伦理宗教科统筹、香港教育大学讲师及高级讲师、教育博士共同指导老师、兼任助理教授和硕士论文导师、香港教育局课程发展处和香港考试及评核局委员。刘博士荣获教育署校本课程设计计划嘉许状(2000年度)、香港教育大学教育及人类发展学院首届关爱育人奖 (2021年度),以及优秀学校体验视导奖(2021-22年度上学期)。任教科目包括:学校教育的架构和过程、价值教育、教师伦理、正向教育、正念教育、常识和通识教育等。研究兴趣包括:华人地区跨国静修活动、宗教教育、灵性健康、价值教育、正念教育、德育及伦理教育、融合教育等。刘博士2007年开始为本科生、职前教师和在职教师进行正念、身心灵健康和正向教育等教研计划工作,曾协助筹办多个相关研讨会和教师专业培训。她定期在国际学术期刊和学术出版社发表相关论文,以及协助国际学术期刊包括《正念》、《宗教》、《儿童灵性国际期刊》审查论文。
